Three distinct campuses of Mizan-Tepi University, each rooted in the deep green landscapes and rich human diversity of Southwest Ethiopia.
Welcome to Mizan-Tepi University's Main Campus, located in the South West Region of Ethiopia, Bench-Sheko Zone, Mizan-Aman town administration — approximately 565 km southwest of Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. The campus sits within a profound and exclusive natural and human diversity that best defines a precise model of Ethiopia.
Originally, the Main Campus started teaching-learning by sharing a building with the Mizan Agriculture, Technical, Vocational Education and Training (ATVET) College, admitting only 215 regular undergraduate students in the Faculty of Education. In the years since, the Main Campus has shown immense progress and has greatly increased student enrolment in regular and continuing programs across its colleges' and schools' departments, in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
The Mizan Campus plays a crucial role in overseeing academic programs, research initiatives, and student affairs. It fosters a dynamic learning environment equipped with modern facilities, research centers, and student support services to enhance academic excellence and innovation.
The Main Campus occupies a vast area of land at Mizan-Aman town administration and serves as the seat of MTU's President, Vice Presidents, and the Directorates. Situated amid deep, green, and unique natural and anthropogenic diversity, the campus benefits from the enormous potential and gifted natural resources of the Southwest — providing a huge prospect to project into new grounds of education and research development.
Focused on advancing agricultural sciences, sustainable natural resource management, and environmental conservation. The college equips students with practical knowledge and research opportunities to address global and local agricultural challenges.
Offering programs in business administration, accounting, finance, and economics. The college prepares students for leadership roles in the corporate and public sectors, fostering entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and economic development.

Dedicated to legal education and justice, training future lawyers, policymakers, and legal scholars with a strong foundation in national and international law, human rights, and governance.
With its diverse academic programs, research-driven approach, and commitment to community development, the Main Campus stands as the heart of Mizan-Tepi University — shaping forthcoming leaders and decision makers.
Tepi Campus is one of the three campuses of Mizan-Tepi University, located in the Southwest Regional State of Ethiopia, situated in Tepi Town Administration, approximately 611 km southwest of Addis Ababa. The campus is nestled in a region renowned for its rich natural beauty and unique human diversity.
Tepi Campus was established in 1999 E.C. alongside the university's main campus. The campus was initially founded on 52 hectares of land. It benefits from the abundant natural resources and immense potential of the surrounding area, providing the university with exceptional opportunities to expand its educational and research endeavors. Since its inception, Tepi Campus has been committed to academic excellence, community service, and innovative research.
Tepi Campus began its teaching and learning activities in 2000 E.C. with two colleges and one school. Over the past 17 years, the campus has made significant strides in expanding its academic programs, increasing student enrolment in both regular and continuing education, and producing graduates who contribute to various sectors of society.
Established in 2000 E.C., CNCS was founded with the mission of conducting problem-solving research, delivering effective teaching, and providing impactful community services. At its inception, the college admitted a limited number of students into its regular and summer undergraduate programs.
Established in 2002 E.C., CET initially offered undergraduate programs in three departments: Surveying Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, and Electrical and Computer Engineering. The college was established to foster critical thinking, quantitative skills, and leadership in the engineering profession, while also addressing the growing demand for skilled construction managers in the industry.
Began operating independently in 2002 E.C. Recognizing the transformative role of education in socio-economic, political, and cultural development, the school has been dedicated to preparing students to become skilled professionals who contribute to national progress.
The campus offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across its colleges and school, supported by a team of skilled professionals and scholars. Tepi Campus is committed to advancing the country's educational goals through excellence in teaching, research, and community service, and aims to leverage its resources and partnerships to further enhance its contributions to national and global development.
To all respected national and international stakeholders, Tepi Campus invites you to join hands in supporting its mission to achieve academic excellence and societal transformation. Your collaboration and support are invaluable in realizing the campus's vision of becoming a center of excellence in education, research, and community engagement.
