Tepi Campus began its teaching and learning activities in 2000 E.C. with two colleges and one school:

  1. College of Natural and Computational Sciences (CNCS}: Established in 2000 E.C., CNCS was founded with the mission of conducting problem-solving research, delivering effective teaching, and providing impactful community services. At its inception, the college admitted a limited number of students into its regular and summer undergraduate programs.
  2. College of Engineering and Technology (CET): Established in 2002 E.C., CET initially offered undergraduate programs in three departments: Surveying Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, and Electrical and Computer Engineering. The college was established to foster critical thinking, quantitative skills, and leadership in the engineering profession, while also addressing the growing demand for skilled construction managers in the industry.
  3. School of Computing and Informatics: The School of Computing and Informatics began operating independently in 2002 E.C. Recognizing the transformative role of education in socio-economic, political, and cultural development, the school has been dedicated to preparing students to become skilled professionals who contribute to national progress.
