Research and community Engagement V/President office of MTU has provided a capacity building training for instructors

Research and community Engagement V/President office of Mizan-Tepi University has provided a capacity building training on technology innovation, startup, business incubation and intellectual property right for the instructors participated from all departments of colleges and schools of MTU.

The training includes supporting the advance of startups that can commercialize innovative ideas and technologies. The V/President office helps in aspiring entrepreneurs steer the challenges of starting a business, from conceptualization to funding and commercialization. In line with this Structure of working is established so as to help students, trainers, instructors and researchers, collaborative institutions and individuals to flourish and develops the skills of entrepreneurship.

Dr. Girma Tilahun, V/president for research and Community Engagement of MTU, highlighted the importance of the training and encouraged instructors and students engage actively in bringing new technological ideas and develop in the MTU incubation Center.  He added the commitment of his office in supporting the initiative with resources and guidance. This activity is highly focused and supervised by the Ministry of Education as well.
