Teaching Hospital of Mizan-Tepi university is located at South west regional state of Ethiopia, at Bench-Sheko Zone, in Mizan-Aman town administration, very close to the main campus. The hospital was originally established in 1986 as Aman Hospital; and in November 2016 it was merged with the university as the third campus of Mizan-Tepi University with intention to produce qualified health professionals and provide better medical care to the community. Currently the teaching hospital is providing health care services to more than 2.5 million community members.
The teaching hospital is working to promote the health and well-being of the society by providing and regulating a comprehensive package of health services to the highest quality possible in an equitable manner. It focuses on a leading intention called “we care for a patient and we train a health professional simultaneously”

The College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) offers a strong academic curriculum in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Currently, the college runs eight undergraduate programs in Nursing, Public Health, Pharmacy, Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medicine, Psychiatry Nursing, and Environmental Health. Along with these undergraduate programs, there are five postgraduate programs in Epidemiology, General Public Health, Reproductive Health, Human Nutrition, and Environmental Health. Furthermore, the college provides specialized post-basic programs in Nursing, Midwifery, and Medical Laboratory Sciences.
Thus, the teaching hospital has missioned to primarily focus on teaching learning, research and community service so as to provide quality education and health care.
Along with producing competent health professionals under its Medicine and health Sciences College, Mizan-Tepi university teaching hospital provides these major lists of Health activities
