College of Agriculture and Natural Resource

College of Agriculture and Natural Resource Management was established in 1999 E.C. It began its operation by holding two departments: Horticulture and Plant Science. Then, progressively in 2000 and 2002 the college had opened two more fields of study: Department of Agro-Economics and Department of Natural Resources Management, respectively.

The college is motivated to train competitive and trained manpower in the areas of:
o   Natural resource management who can be a solution in the area of environmental protection
o   Animal science training research & extension by providing highly competent and skilled professionals
o   Horticulture education & research program that encourage the generation and adoption of sound horticultural production system that are environmentally friendly
o   Students to anticipate & effectively respond to challenges facing the national & global plant production, to facilitate scientific research and technology transfer for efficient and sustainable production of high quality crop products, and to enhance the human diet
o   Agricultural-economics professionals that are able to solve the problem of socio-economic and the society 
The college has accommodated a total number of 2369 students since its establishment.  Currently there are about 77 academic staffs of which 23 are on study leave.
